Book sculpture.

This is an EXAMPLE of a custom sculpture I have made in the past. It is a political sculpture built from a copy of the Thomas Paine book "The Rights of Man and Common Sense." The scene depicts a bold man holding an American Flag, in the background discarded and crumpled headlines about the election of Trump. There is a cut out in the pages, revealing a bio about Thomas Paine and his plights against tyranny. This exact sculpture is not for sale (it lives in Florida!) but I would love to work with you on your own design.

I would be happy to work with whatever book title(s) you'd like and the position, style, clothing, accessories (even species) of the figures are customized to your design. For this particular sculpture, I worked closely with the client to design something meaningful for her boss, a prominent lawyer. A sculpture mounted on a book, with two figures and other sculptural elements will start with a base price and added cost of the books (I am a bookseller and can get most books in print at a deep discount).

All my sculptures are treated with a UV and moisture protectant, though they are not waterproof, and indeed delicate.

Custom work is really exciting to me. I like to give you as much design control as possible and update you through each step of the construction. Message me, and let's design something together!

These sculptures are all one-of-kind handmade works of art. They are delicate and will vary in shape and size. Some elements of the sculpture may seem flexible or able to be slightly manipulated, but this is not recommended. The text strips are easily ripped or damaged with manipulation. No refunds will be issued for damage incurred through manipulation.

Any custom work involves as much communication with the buyer as they desire, including status reports and photos of work progress. Because of this, I cannot offer refunds on custom work.
